Some Asteroid Sketches

I was working to learn how to create nice-looking asteroids, using instruction from a drawing book I bought. I feel like these were some early good attempts to understand the shapes and the shadows. Turns out drawing asteroids is kinda fun, and even a bit relaxing for me.

Something a little different, maybe it was nearly torn apart by gravitational interactions.

With a big crater and some rifts, you can see the lines in the craters from trying to understand the shapes.

This one has color and a black background, evolution in action.

I’ll be using the skills I learned here to make even more asteroid pictures in the future.
